Birds In Paradise

Bliss

The Indians knew whats up. Regardless if you hate the style or not, moccasins have to be the most comfortable shoe out there. It is probably not any different than going barefoot. I own 2 pairs cuz 1 just wasn't enough. Anyways, I found these lovely moccasins and had to share.

The heels are for the elegant, sophisticated mock moccasin look! Probably doesn't entail comfort but pulls the look. Looove.

Here ya go!

Mental Notes

At this point in my life I really need all the inspiration I can get with fancy organization ideas. I hate leaving my pretty things with no homes. I thought these few photos shared interesting ways of displaying things and making them pleasing to view.

Thank you through the looking glass!
A Peacock. Two lambs. A bird on a finger & a mushroom with toads. These are what I conjured up and framed from the treasures that are Coronet mini mags! <3<3

Coronet: "Infinite Riches In A Little Room"

These are just a few of the wonderful pages that fill my mini magazines I snagged from my grammie's house after she passed. I enjoy flipping thru the pages periodically to view the inspirational photography captured in them. All of the photos have a sort of witty title underneath them. I wish you could see them all. The dates range from 1920-1930's. I have never seen mags like this from that era before. Was pleased to find these and will hold onto them for a loooong time! I also snagged 4 photos I admired most and framed them. Will take a picture later to share!

I Want I Want

Ahhhh! Some prints to quench my bird obsession. I will have these! You can find them here and they are actually very reasonably priced! Birthdate is Nov. 28. harhar.*gag*

Yessss!

here

Amen.

I love what Louise Wilson had to say to on the NY Times Blog.

"I think the problem is that fashion has become too fashionable. For years, fashion wasn’t fashionable. Today fashion is so fashionable that it’s almost embarrassing to say you’re part of fashion. All the parodies of it. All the dreadful magazines. That has destroyed it as well, because everybody thinks fashion is attainable. Today fashion is dominated by big luxury brands. Talented designers are stars but they also lose touch."

Cuddle Anyone?

I love these. They look cuddle-worthy. They live in Scotland. Coooo. I'm boring. Blagh.

Hummingbird Art

Ok. Anyone that knows me knows that when I get interested in something, I pretty much get obsessed. Here is some hummingbird artwork I adore! My ideal home would have a collection of bird art photos (like one above), mushrooms, and birdcages of all sorts- vintage, rusty, retro, exotic, etc. I have already started collecting. Some day I will have a post of all the different ones I have collected. Woopty-Friggin-Doo, right?

Hummingbird Splendor

Honolulu's New Proposal For Stinkers!

Today can potentially be an upsetting day for any future visits I may have to The Rainbow State. Apparently, if I use public transportation in Honolulu, Hawaii I could be arrested! Arrested for what, you ask?
For SMELLING! The Honolulu City Council is proposing a bill which could fine stinky bus riders up to $500 and/or up to six months in jail if convicted!
Illegal odors include "anything that unreasonably disturb others or interfere with their use of the transit system."

What do you think about this proposal?

I don't know about Honolulu, but I think New York City could use this proposal instead (attn: grimey men sitting in the back row of our train!)
