Me Like The Psych! 1960's

(Above) Aug. 15, 16, 17. White Lake, NY. Woodstock!!
I'm jealous of each and every person in this photo who were blessed enough to experience the one and only. In our modern day, people are STILL trying to recreate these special days, but it will not & cannot be the same. Ever!
(Above) The Volkswagen Bus.
This happens to be my dream car (if i had the mechanical skills I would seriously consider purchasing.) This microbus will give you all the room you need for camping gear & cooking supplies, clothes, room for everyone (well, almost), and the box-like shape made plenty of room for you to bust out your art skills!

(Above) Owls.
Although owls were also relevant in the 70's I think they fit more appropriately in the 1960's. There is something so cute, yet so freakin' bizarre about these furry friends. They were the 60's version of the late 80's duck decor. *gag* I would love to know exactly who thought of incorporating this creature of the night in interior decor and jewelry design!
(Above) 1960's UK Acid Folk aka Psych Folk.
My favorite genre of music (at the moment.) There is something special about the acoustic, medieval, eastern instruments meshed together to make this tranquil, satisfying music to the soul. I can't help but feel like I'm out naked in the wilderness, sitting in a willow tree or lying on an eiderdown looking up into the rays of the sun! aghhh. ok you can shoot me now!

(Above) 1966- British Italian Film-'Blowup'
Directed by Michelangelo Antonioni, hot models, a small cameo featuring The Yardbirds, nominated for titles like "Best Art Direction,""Best Cinematography,""Best Director and Screenplay," this movie is filled with gifts for it's viewers.
(Above) 1960's Psych Art.
This "mind manifesting" art is a true peek inside the strange & colorful world of "psychedelia." Ooh la-la!

(Above)1964-1968. Last, but certainly not least, we have Syd (Roger) Barrett.
Syd makes it in my top fave musicians of all time. Besides his undeniable hotness, Syd Barrett is the ultimate male musician star of the 60's. A short lived career with Pink Floyd, two solo albums, and an even shorter-lived career with a band called Stars, Syd left us wanting more. Perhaps that's just how he wanted it.
